FREESKI VIDEO COMPETITION WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

The Saas-Fee Ride 11 – Freeski Video Competition was set up to ultimately give the athletes the chance to show their skiing talent and express their own personal style of riding in the amazing snow conditions of the Allalin Glacier in Saas-Fee this summer.

Over a period of one month, teams set out to create a short film of between 1-3 minutes to be uploaded to YouTube.  The overall winner was clear with the artistically shot film of rider Mathieu Hulliger filmed by Kevin Hauser.  Runner up in 2nd Place was Canadian Jason Hamborg who unfortunately had to go home early due to injury, but still managed to produce an excellent film.  In 3rd Place was Dave Young’s film of Tyler Harding and Chris McCormick.  Tyler Harding also took away 1st Place for best trick.

The Saas-Fee Ride 11 - Freeski Video Competition, is an event that was set up to take the place of the Saas-Fee Ride 11 - Big Air competition that could not run due to bad weather.

The event will run from 25th July until the 20th August and give inscribed riders the chance to create short videos of themselves between 1 and 3 minutes and upload them to youtube to be judged by the Ride Freesport panel.

You can enter as an individual, two person or three persons. Three is the maximum per team. Riders will be judged on their style and difficulty of tricks and on the quality of filming and editing.

COMPETITION RULES:
- All action needs to be filmed in the Saas-Fee Snowpark this summer season
- Entry fee is CHF25 per rider (max 3 per team)
- All music used on edits needs to be with permission or rights free
- Edits need to be between 1 and 3 minutes

THE FILM:
- Event logos need to be added to intro & outro credits (Click here to download zip file)
- Names of the filmer, editor and rider(s) must be in the intro & outro credits
- The name of the music track and producer/artist must be in the intro & outro credits

1st Place CHF1,000, 2nd Place CHF500, 3rd Place CHF300
Best Trick Male CHF750, Best Trick Female CHF500


All the video edits will shown on the Saas-Fee Ride 11 website, on the Ride Freesport youtube page and on Saas-Fee Ride 11 Facebook event page. All videos will also be integrated into event partner websites to gain maximum exposure for rider.
